My Style

A bride in a white dress smiles as she hugs a woman in a pink dress. Nearby, a man in a suit embraces another man. Captured by our Wedding Photographer Surrey, a man in a beige suit holds a piece of paper while a woman with light hair in a patterned dress stands to the side. They are in a room with stone walls and arched windows.

Friendly

Your wedding is yours. It is unique and unrepeatable. That’s why, as your wedding photographer, I won’t direct you, ask you to pose, or steal you away from your guests for hours! My job is to simply witness and document your special day, capturing each moment exactly as it happens.

A wedding photographer in Surrey captures a man in a suit and a woman in a white wedding dress standing under a gazebo adorned with greenery and flowers. The man smiles while looking at the woman, who is also smiling. An officiant stands next to them, conducting the ceremony amidst lush greenery.

Observant

For me, the best part of my job is taking the photos that you may not have expected, but that perfectly reflect your wedding day. My goal is to capture these unique moments, to give you memories that you will cherish forever.

unobtrusive

The last thing you will see me do is marching around, directing guests. I prefer to blend in into the background discreetly, ensuring that I get to capture you and your guests in a natural, relaxed at ease way. After all, it’s your day, and I would rather let the story unfold before me. This purity will come across in your photos, and you’ll have something to remind you of the magic you both shared on your wedding day.

The venue has elegant arched windows and decorative columns, creating a sophisticated atmosphere perfect for a Wedding Photographer Surrey to capture.

professional

Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for some formal pictures, and I’m happy to take choreographed group photos. And if you want some shots together, I can whisk you both away to share a brief moment concentrating on you and your partner. Mostly, though, I’ll be there to capture every last cherished moment.

During my career as a photographer, I’ve seen and heard lots of misused terms floating around the wedding photography industry: but none as controversial as ‘documentary wedding photography’. Documentary wedding photography can be known as ‘reportage or wedding photojournalism’. However, they all belong to the same thing, an approach of sitting back, observing what is unfolding, and capturing it.

"I cannot write words enough to express how awesome Nigel is. He goes way more than the extra mile and produces such amazing images. His skills and time taken to make adjustments we requested to a couple photos (removing people from the background) was brilliant. We are super happy with the results and enjoyed every moment prior to our special day discussing and planning with Nigel. Cannot thank you enough Nigel."

"All of our photos look so natural and were composed so well. Nigel went above and beyond on the day helping out in various ways. Nigel made the whole process leading up to the day effortless, answering any questions we had via email or a video call. Once again myself and Cameron would like to thank you for your hard work, creativity and dedication during our wedding. We will cherish these photos forever."

More Of My Work!

I believe the best photos are captured when you’re at your most relaxed, enjoying the moment without feeling posed or pressured. My approach is all about blending into the background, letting the story of your day unfold naturally and beautifully.

As a dad, I know how to bring a bit of humour and patience into every situation (trust me, if I can get a toddler to smile for the camera, your guests will be a breeze!). You’ll find my style reflects the genuine emotions and spontaneous moments that make your wedding unique.
