Daromi and Tom’s big day began with a buzz of excitement. They chose to get ready in rooms just across the road from the charming, old Bartons Mill pub. Instead of the traditional separate preparations, they opted for a more relaxed approach, getting ready as groups. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, nerves, and shared moments.
Their first look was unique. They stood outside, facing each other, capturing the raw emotion of seeing each other for the first time without any formalities. No dads involved, just pure, genuine connection. It was a beautiful start to what would be an unforgettable day.
The ceremony at Bartons Mill was nothing short of magical. The flower girls, with their playful and unconventional walk down the aisle, set the tone for a light-hearted yet deeply emotional event. As Daromi and Tom exchanged their vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Their words were heartfelt, filled with promises and dreams for their future together. The intimate setting of the old pub added a touch of rustic charm, making every moment feel warm and personal. The laughter, the tears, the joy—it was all captured in the most genuine way. This was a ceremony that truly reflected who they are as a couple.
Bartons Mill in Basingstoke is a gem. This old, crooked pub has a charm that’s hard to find. It’s like stepping back in time, with its rustic beams and cosy nooks. The venue’s character added so much to Daromi and Tom’s wedding. The pub’s history seemed to whisper through the walls, making every moment feel special. The relaxed vibe of Bartons Mill perfectly matched the couple’s easy-going nature. It wasn’t just a backdrop; it was part of their story. From the small bar to the games for kids, everything about Bartons Mill made the day feel intimate and fun.
The evening festivities were a blast. As the sun dipped, the energy soared. A DJ spun tunes that had everyone on their feet, from the youngest flower girl to the oldest guest. The small bar buzzed with chatter and clinking glasses, while a bouncy castle and giant Jenga kept the kids—and some enthusiastic adults—entertained. One of my favourite moments was when guests formed a tunnel with their arms for Daromi and Tom to walk through before their first dance. It was cute and unexpected, a real highlight. Sparklers lit up the night, adding a magical glow to the couple’s first dance. It was a perfect blend of fun and romance, capturing the essence of their day beautifully.
